Another one bites the dust! Cashmo Casino exits the UK market!

The UK Gambling Commission has imposed a £6.1m penalty on Intouch Games for failings in social responsibility and anti-money laundering. The operator was the subject of regulatory action in 2019 and 2021. The regulator said the firm had failed to interact with customers flagged for erratic play, failed to verify earnings claimed by some users, and had broader anti-money laundering failings, including failing to assess customers’ links to politically exposed persons. The commission also said In Touch Gaming did not follow its own procedures for requesting information about customers who deposited and lost £10,000 or more in a year.

Affiliates who work with the Intouch Games brands were sent an email on the 20th of February saying:

We have taken the business decision to stop traffic with immediate effect from today, therefore, we ask that all affiliates stop sending traffic and remove all Cashmo-related promotions from any marketing sources from today.

Players have been notified of this change and are to log in and withdraw any winnings in their account whilst the sites are still operating, but users will no longer be able to register or deposit from the 22nd of February 2023, thus we cannot issue any commission from this point onwards for this brand.

They will then be further advised when player login and withdrawals are no longer possible.

If you wish to discuss this decision, swap Cashmo promotion for one of our other brands or have questions about the other Intouch Partners brands in general, please email [email protected] or contact your account manager.

So not only have Intouch Games been fined £6.1 million, they are also now keeping all of those players that their hard-working affiliates have sent over the years!
